This is the larger size of Alembic copper dome for 65L Digiboil or Brewzilla and can make up a pot still kit with Still spirits copper condenser kit. With the bigger size of the dome now you can run the copper pot still on a 65L digiboil boiler or brewzilla.
The dome come with 4" Tri-clover ferrule. The 4" tri-clover ferrule allow you to install other 4" tri-clover fitting like sight glass or pipes to increase the height, or a copper helmet which we sold separately.
The large copper surface area of the alembic top acts as a catalyst with the vapour in the still and helps enhance and concentrate the flavours and aromas as well as remove unwanted sulphur compounds. This produces a smoother, richer, sweeter tasting spirit.
Inside the alembic dome, the vapors come into contact with a cool surface, which causes them to condense back into a liquid form. This liquid then collects in the dome and is channeled out through a spout or valve.
The alembic dome plays a crucial role in the distillation process because it helps to separate the volatile components of the liquid from the non-volatile components. The volatile components, which have a lower boiling point, evaporate and rise up into the dome, while the non-volatile components remain in the still.
