The counter flow wort chiller is a fast way to chill down your wort from boiling to cool with high efficiency.
The chiller got copper coil inside, and rubber cover outside. The wort shall flow inside, while the cooling water flow between copper coil and rubber cover on counter flow direction. This design will make the work chill down fast.

These copper counter flow chillers are probably one of the fastest ways to chill wort. They are similarly efficient as the 30 plate chillers however they are easier to clean as they do not have all the small crevasses to trap hop material and other solids.
The copper is a very good conductor of heat. These units are 23cm in diameter and about 18cm high. The input and output are approximately 10mm outside diameter. These can be used with gravity but are recommended to use with a pump.
The counter flow wort chiller kit include tubing, disconnector and clamps to connect the cooling tube to tap and the tap of your boiler/brewing equipment, but mostly you need a pump to run the wort into your chiller. If not, then you just use gravity to let the wort flow through the chiller from higher position to your fermenter with slow flow.
